Enzymatic hydrolysis tanks play a vital role in juice production. Enzymes such as pectinase and cellulase, are used to break down cell walls and release the juices in the fruit. Enzymatic hydrolysis tanks facilitate enzymatic hydrolysis of pectin, cellulose and other components, thereby increasing juice extraction, improving clarity and enhancing flavor.

In beverage processing, enzymatic hydrolysis is a very important part which is usually used in the process of extracting juice, fermentation, acid hydrolysis, etc. Enzymatic hydrolysis can improve the extraction rate of juice and increase the brewing effect of juice. At the same time, it can also improve the taste, remove bitterness and odor, and keep the flavor and nutrients intact.

The enzymatic hydrolysis tank mainly composed of containers, agitators, devices and pipelines. 

  • Upper and lower conical head structure.

  • Upper and lower elliptical head structure.

  • Material: stainless steel (SUS304/SUS316L).

  • Accessories: quick-open sanitary manhole, sight glass, thermometer, breather, CIP cleaner, inlet and outlet, sampling port (sampling valve), pH meter, SIP sterilization (optional), anti-vortex plate, liquid level display device (optional), jacket cold/heat medium inlet and outlet and other interfaces.

  • The enzymatic reaction tank can be designed with an automatic control system, including process control such as feeding, discharging, temperature control, stirring, and pH vale adjustment, which reduces labor intensity and enables the enzymatic process to be fully automatically controlled. 

It is generally divided into single-layer and double-layer tanks. Single-layer tanks are mainly used for simpler production processes while double-layer tanks are mostly used to process more complex juices or other substances, trying to achieve better enzymatic hydrolysis effects.

Quality Raw Material


The material of the tank body can be made into SUS304 or SUS316L according to customer requirements.

The outer surface of the tank body can be mirror polished with stainless steel plate, or 2B mill and oil brushed for option.The weld is polished and smooth, and the welding is designed with a bell mouth to meet the sanitary requirements.

Mixer Selection


For different materials, choose a suitable and effective stirring device to achieve the purpose of full mixing and efficient mixing. Before quoting, the user needs to provide the material name, material properties (PH value, viscosity value, etc.), enzymatic hydrolysis process, tank volume, etc.

The jacket is designed with a circulation guide plate, which is conducive to the steam and circulating water heating and cooling process.

The inner tank body is designed with a baffle to ensure sufficient reaction.

The tank body is designed with a stainless steel insulation layer, and the insulation medium is polyurethane foam. It is conducive to temperature control during the enzymatic hydrolysis process, while reducing heat source loss and preventing scalding safety accidents.

The nozzles adopt a stretching and flanging process with arc transition, which is smooth, easy to clean and has no sanitary dead corners, ensuring the reliability and stability of the production process and meeting the requirements of GMP

There is an insulation layer between the jacket and the outer cylinder, and the interior is filled with high temperature resistant and anti-aging rock wool or pearl cotton insulation, which not only plays a role in insulation, but also prevents operators from being scalded.
