The 7th China International Import Expo (CIIE) arrived as scheduled, continuing to demonstrate China's sincerity and determination to open up and cooperate with the world. Since its inception in 2018, CIIE has provided a platform for global companies to enter the Chinese market and share development opportunities, and has attracted more participating countries and companies through continuous expansion and upgrading. This year's exhibition covers 129 countries and regions, attracting 3,496 companies, and 297 Fortune 500 and industry leaders participating in the exhibition, setting a new record.
This CIIE launched more than 400 new products, new technologies, and new services. The new materials zone established for the first time brought together top companies from around the world. CIIE demonstrated China's new vitality in driving economic development with innovation, and brought more cooperation and investment opportunities to global companies.
CIIE is not only a symbol of China's openness, but also a bridge to promote global economic growth. In the past six years, it has attracted more than 10,000 overseas companies, with an intended transaction volume of US$420 billion. In the first three quarters of this year, China's total import and export value reached a new high, further demonstrating the global appeal of the Chinese market.
The CIIE also actively supports the development of the least developed countries, provides free booths and promotion opportunities, and reflects China's commitment to promoting economic development in the global South. By promoting international procurement, investment, cultural exchanges, and open cooperation, the CIIE has become an international public product shared by the world.
