After a long time of use, chemical mixing tanks may have some faults, the most typical of which is abnormal sound. When this kind of fault occurs, the equipment makes a loud sound that can be heard from more than ten meters away. The current is within the normal range, and it is difficult to find the problem with a simple inspection. The entire chemical mixer can be divided into three parts: mechanical seal assembly, gear box and motor, and then separately disassembled, inspected and analyzed.
1. Inspection of mechanical seal assembly
The most prone to failure in chemical mixers is the mechanical seal part, which often fails due to wear and tear, and water enters the sealing chamber. First, the mechanical seal assembly is disassembled, and the parts including two sets of mechanical seals, skeleton oil seals, output shafts, bearings, housings and end covers are cleaned and inspected. The relevant dimensions of the bearing seat and output shaft of the mechanical agitator are checked. If no problems are found, it means that the mechanical seal part is intact and the possibility of failure is ruled out.
2. Analysis and inspection of gearbox
Some agitator equipment has a high gearbox machining precision and good heat treatment. The gearbox is thoroughly cleaned and the gears, gear shafts and bearings are carefully checked. It is found that the gear tooth surface is smooth, without pitting and interlocking, the gear meshing side clearance is normal, and the tooth profile has no obvious wear; the radial and axial clearances of each bearing are normal, and there are no pitting spots on the inner and outer rings and roller surfaces, and the overall quality is good; the axial clearance of each shaft is reasonable, the hand-operated output shaft is free to move, there is no jamming, and there is no abnormal sound. Then, the gearbox fault can be ruled out.
3. Inspection, analysis and treatment of motor failure
Symptoms of motor failure in chemical mixer: Before disassembling the motor, run it idle to find out the problem. For example, the motor of the mechanical mixer makes abnormal noises and vibrates a lot; the shaft sleeve of the motor shaft of the mechanical mixer makes a hissing sound, and the shaft extension temperature reaches dozens of degrees in less than 2 minutes of idling, which is hot. The inner ring of the internal bearing of the mechanical mixer has a pear-skin-like pitting area due to pitting, and the surface is rough, dull, and dull, and the pitting holes can be clearly seen; the inner ring of the skeleton oil seal is damaged; the inner ring and sleeve of the mechanical mixer have dark spots formed by "running circles" on the corresponding shaft neck.
Because the inner ring of the bearing of the chemical mixer has pitting to form a pear-skin-like pitting area, there is obvious jamming and sound when the bearing roller passes through. This may be the root cause of the abnormal sound of the motor inside the chemical mixer, so this problem can be solved by replacing the bearing in the mixer.
4. Issues that need clarification
1) The motor rotor shaft in the chemical mixer is the reference part of the flowmaker. In addition to repairing the reference part, the maintenance of the flowmaker also requires the disassembly and inspection of each part, and the replacement of damaged parts to restore the performance of the equipment.
2) The overhaul time of the diving equipment inside the chemical machinery mixer is generally 5-6 years;
3) The common treatment method for the small shaft neck in the chemical mixer is to add parts, that is, turn the diameter of the section in the mixer, add a sleeve, and the inner hole is matched with the shaft by interference fit, and the outer surface meets the required size of the fit. Or replace the motor rotor shaft inside the mixer to completely solve the problem.
