A mash tun is a vessel used in the brewing of beer or whiskey. It's a crucial part of the mashing process, where crushed grains are mixed with hot water temp. between 50℃-80℃ ,to get the great wort,which contains the easy dissolvable enzyme, prepare raw material for brewing beer.The mash tun provides the environment for this conversion to happen through a process called mashing. Typically, the mash tun is insulated to maintain a constant temperature during this process, as temperature control is essential for achieving the desired results. Once the mashing is complete, the liquid containing the sugars, known as wort, is drained from the mash tun, leaving behind the spent grains.

1)Customize
Prettech engineers design different types of mash tun for every clients, even for the same brewing capacity, based on each client’s brewing craftship, beer type, footprint and controlling solution, to meet with and satisfy every customer’s needs, e.g.we can design electric or steam or direct fire heating, we can fabricate the mashing tank with stainless steel material or/and copper material, we can also fabricate combined mashing tun with lauter tun or boiling kettle.
2)Sanitary processing
The whole tanks are welded by 100% TIG, all welding seams are grounded and sanitary polished,burs removed, interior finish roughness less than 0.4um,exterior finish brushed polished.
Top and bottom are welded onto the cylinder by Radian pressing, avoid any dead angle, easy to clean.
3)Excellent design,save energy
Mash tun is designed with rock wool as insulation material and SUS304 steel as cladding, reduce heat energy loss.
Low speed agitator work smoothly, it mixes evenly while put grist and water into the mash tun, avoid powder cloud happen.
Slope bottom make the mash easy to be pumped out,refuse block up.
4)High efficiency heating
Temperature increase quickly and stably at each stage of mashing,and nice quality of solenoid valve transmit the signal correctly to controller, platinum thermal resistance thermometer display temperature on site in real time, it’s important for getting high quality and more output of mash.
Prettech have several heating solutions as considering, to consider the heating efficiency, sources cost, including electric, gas and steam, you can always find the right one you need.
5)Guaranteed installation services
All brewery equipment and the pipelines are marked signals before delivery, the installation and commission can be done both by Prettech or by customers easily. For the latter we will supply exact installation photos,video and drawings to make the local installation easy utmost, and will guide through mail, telephone or video.

1. Can you produce tanks with S.S.316L?
A: Yes we can, the wetted-parts are produced by S.S.316L to guarantee the corrosion resistance, the non-wetted parts are produced by S.S.304 to reduce cost.
2. What’s the lead time?
A: 35-50 working days depend on the order quantity.
3. How do you ship the goods?
A: We usually ship by sea in containers or flat rack.
4. Do you supply door to door shipping?
A: Yes we do, Pretank do ocean shipping, customs clearance, import procedures and deliver products to the appointed place.
5. What inspections will you do before delivery in your factory?
A: All tanks would be tested by static pressure test, dye penetration or X-ray test if requested.
